The left leg and the pockets of the jacket are made transparent to emphasise neighbouring cloths or jewellery. Paul Gallis designed the exhibition "Het Koloniaaltheater"

I used photographs of the late Mr. Cramer and drawings out of the collection of the tropical institute to find the right position and composition. The hands are made on the basis of a lifecast.
